So you may be wondering what is behind a blog named "Two Hoes and a Garden...with lots of shades!" This creative name was thought of by my hubby. My great friend Julie and I are self proclaimed flower "whores." I apologize if I have offended you...stay tuned it gets better! We love perennials of all sorts. We love flowers from ditches, yard sales, from the most expensive garden shops, from catalogs but most of all from our friends gardens.
Julie and I had toyed with the idea to have a plant sale and this past year we did it! May 2012 Two Hoes and a Garden had their first sale and it was a great time! Some fun things have happened since...#1 we were able to buy a greenhouse!!! YEAH! Some of my postings will be of prior projects, including the consturction of the greenhouse...cuts and all!
By the way "with lots of spades" can be interpreted a couple of different ways...we believe this to mean lots of friends and lots of different interests. Both of us are married and have two children. We both work full time, have a dog and 2 cats...ok I have a bunny and an outside cat too. Life takes us in many directions and we love it.
